Re: Totally bored
I've had a few... erm... "discussions" with various console fans about the differences between playing FPS games on consoles and on PCs. John Comes, Creative Director of Uber Entertainment (the software house behind Monday Night Combat), wrote a bit about it from a design perspective on Penny Arcade - it's an interesting read, if you ever wondered about that sort of thing.

Always a quick discussion, because they're just wrong!Commando wrote:I've had a few... erm... "discussions" with various console fans about the differences between playing FPS games on consoles and on PCs.

Yeah, but PC FPS are harder to play on the sofa.
They're different, you PC elitists just need to stop making it an issue.

It is an issue though, saying it isn't won't make it go away.Juan wrote:Yeah, but PC FPS are harder to play on the sofa.

A friend of mine is in a band and they have just released their debut video. Go looky looky.

Unbelievable attempt at conning a ref. Disgraceful behaviour, but it did make me laugh!

And yet they still say they don't need video support for referees and the guy didn't get suspended, fined or banned for it. It's a funny video, but for football to regain any sort of credibility the people who do this sort of thing should be barred from playing professionally. Preferably on the first offence.Roper wrote:Unbelievable attempt at conning a ref. Disgraceful behaviour, but it did make me laugh!

for some reason when I'm logged into youtube it asks me my password to view that o_O
I logged out and can view it just fine tho
Its okay, but a bit too metally for me
/rawr singing is not my sort of thing
I wish them luck though!
argh I just found out that on youtube they are requiring a youtube account to have a email linked to a google account of some sort.
If you try to create a gmail account it requires either a different email address to verify yourself OR send you a text via mobile.
fuck that. Why can't accounts be separate, I'd rather not have to link everything. Google already log enough information, they don't need any more

I don’t think I’d want a video ref during the game, but they should certainly be looking at incidents like this after games and taking the necessary action, imposing decent bans to discourage such nonsense.Commando wrote:And yet they still say they don't need video support for referees and the guy didn't get suspended, fined or banned for it. But let’s face it FIFA are complete arses so I don’t think we’ll see changes any time soon, they’re too busy with important things such as banning snoods (not that I’m against that, but still…)
Players and managers are always moaning about mistakes made by the officials, maybe if they didn’t spend so much time trying to con them they’d help to largely solve the problem..

An interesting use for Kinect
(Needs speakers, and if you use Adblock you might need to disable it on this page for the video to load)
