Bright Lights

Post by Septih »

I've just upgraded the forums in the hope that this will remove the errors. It was something that needed to be done anyway. Please let me know if you encounter anything buggy.

I think it just went back in time a bit in terms of read messages, all the messages I read yesterday here at work are showing up as unread again, but everything else is showing up as read.

Is there a particular reason the poster's details are to the right of the post now? Confusing!

Friends & Foes? eh?

yay for full screen-width forums!

Hmm Im not sure if its highlighting / emphasing who the poster was enough with the section at the right instead of the left, as your eyes immediatly jump to the left. Earlier I managed to read 3 paragraphs of a post before realising that it wasnt who I assumed was posting basically because they started refering to themself(well who I thought it was) in the 3rd person and I was like WTF. Maybe it just needs some getting used to. Also LOL @ user statistics.. I dont know if none officers can see my personal post statistics but if they can they will just think wtf! Now to test some more features.. wonder if friends lets you color code posts so i dont get confused..

Edit: OK I have no idea what friends does

this is the default skin for phpbb3, as such i have no answers to questions about why things are where :P I may look into finding a simpler one later.

the friends/foe thing just highlights/hides posts made by people you like/dislike

I can see what it does with Foes, but not what it does with friends.
