I'm starting to save for a new Laptop, although £1600 for something that lasted 3 years is slightly annoying...

Then again, I keep thinking I should just go to Ian's house and feed him Vodka till he agrees to do something to my laptop to make it faster.

Not sure I want to have a go at another FPS over the lan with my laptop having the same trouble it had last time :p

If you see me pick up a soldering iron then it's probably wise to stop me.

Or run away.

If you ask anyone to take a look at your laptop and they pick up a soldering iron I would suggest you pick up your laptop and run. Vodka or not :P

If he picked up a soldering iron while at my place I'd be especially worried since we don't have one.... meaning it was pre-planned metal-melting violence!

* Starts looking at weekends when he'd be available to host the fun. How does the Feb half-term work for people?

Me, Tomas and Juan won't be free on the weekend of the 20th/22nd. Apart from that February is relatively free for me I think.

And, messaging back and forth with Juan last night on the phone, and my laptop dies. I swear it's now Juan's fault.

As soon as I try and log in the screen goes (log into windows) ah well, giving them a call today to see if I can sort it :p

Still thinking about this.

With pitbull and dps meters turned off, my fps has increased by 100% (from 2/3 fps to 4-6!) in 25mans. This is playable, just about.

hmm

Anything that uses the combat log is going to have an impact in 25 mans. The amount of data these things generate is crazy. Depending on what raid frames you use you may find performance hits from them as well. Some monitor everyone's target and what each mob is targeting to give you aggro indicators.
