Yeah, this happens for quite a lot of stuff.
Re: authenticators - If they're on the ball, they can ask for the auth code too and as long as they act within 20s or whatever, they can log into your account.

Pro-tip (though a little late unfortunately): NEVER click the Google Sponsored Links. Not for ANYTHING. They are designed by Satan to hack your soul.
Seigfried (tank/DPS), Kirilas (DPS), Beltain (healer/DPS), Ludinar (tank/DPS),
Suspicious (DPS), Artermis (in progress), Physio (in progress)
Re: WARNING: Convincing Phishing Site
Yeah, I've no idea how Google gets away with providing sponsored links which lead to phishing/hacking sites. Fair enough if one of the links on their normal search results happens to be a hackers site, they can't check everything, but they should at least check the links that they're being paid to show.
Never trust sponsored links. If a link isn't good enough to reach the top of the search results without someone giving Google money then it's not something you want to click on.
And get an authenticator.

Re: WARNING: Convincing Phishing Site
On a related note, a colleague of mine received an email containing a key for Starcraft 2 and his invoice. He thought this strange as he had not purchased the game, he then noted that the address on the email was battle.net.com or something similar. All looks legit but I would advise not taking something for which you haven't paid for granted. If you have bought it, especially online, be extra vigilant.

Re: WARNING: Convincing Phishing Site
I wish I could have more sympathy for someone who claimed that they don't need an authenticator because they are savvy enough not to fall for hacking scams, sorry.
And your email address doesn't work so I had to post here
Hope you get your stuff back nonetheless
