Left 4 Dead - The Sacrifice

Post by Commando »

The trailer for the new DLC campaign for Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, The Sacrifice, is up. You can check it out here. From the looks of things it'll be the same campaign for both games, but the L4D2 version will include the new weapons and Infected while still allowing you to play as the original characters.

There's also a comic associated with the campaign, which you can read here. The final installment, part 4, will be released tomorrow.

Seems very nice! Already read the first 3 parts of the comic, some nice backgroundinfo! I'd love to try the new content with a decent group of ppl and vent!

Speaking of Left 4 Dead, there's a Steam offer currently on for both the original L4D and L4D2, either together or separately. If you've not got them both yet (you crazy person you) you can get either game for about £5 or both for about £8.

For the Euro-wielding Samurai's amongst you, individual L4D games cost €6.79 each, or €10.19 for both games bundled together.

See I'd buy it just to play with you guys at iseries, but they'll just end up releasing l4d3 before then, rendering the whole thing pointless!

Since I have most the achievements I don't play it very often, but some of the mutations are brilliant! I liked the m60 one cos I could solo all the campaigns on expert. The current one taaannk is great, and ill probably play some tonight again!

In what way is it boring? Every game I was in the chat alone was cool, with people complaining they can't catch you, or theyve died in the first thirty seconds.

It's also great practice both playing a tank and avoiding one

You can't chain heal through tank damage. That must be it. ;D

Dunno maybe I needed to give it some more time. It felt a lot like playing with/against god mode but maybe that's just because I suck :P

I guess I don't know the levels well enough to run from beginning to end which seems the only real tactic that works as the survivors. Also very irritating when you make it to the elevator on the first campaign only to find the rest of your team is pissing about and you can't go down and leave the useless buggers :P

I think the fun in it is mostly 'see who can get the furthest' playing the survivors, and 'who can put the survivors down quickest' as the tanks. I haven't played the mutation myself, but I've enjoyed watching it.
