If you wish to join us there are three things you need to do:

Obviously before you even think of applying you should decide whether or not this Guild is right for you. You should read the About section of this website and talk to a Guild Member or Officer before applying, as they will be able to answer any questions you may have. Applicants who want to raid with us may also wish to read the post entitled A Brief Guide to Ranks and Raiding in the Join CTSamurai section of the forum. Remember that we are a community more than anything else - if your aim is just to have a random Guild tag, another LFG channel or easy Epics please do not apply.

Your Application:

If you've decided this is the Guild for you then you should make an application to join us. The first step is to make an account on our forums, so click on the Forums link at the top of this webpage and click the Register link from there. Fill in the form (making sure you enter a valid email address) and your account should be set up immediately.

Once you have your account on the forums log in using your new username and password and go to the Join CTSamurai section. In there you will see applications from every other member of the Guild, along with a post entitled Recruitment Guidelines and an example of an application form. Read the guidelines thoroughly and then, if you still wish to apply, copy and paste the application template to create your own. Use the New Topic button and answer every question as completely as possible, making sure to include:

Approval/Denial:

Once you have posted your application our Guild Leaders, Officers and Class Leads will consider it and either accept it, reject it or ask for more information. Make sure you check your application frequently to see what replies have been made. If your application is accepted you will be invited to join us as an On Trial member. If you do not respond to requests for more information or if we decide you are not suitable for CTSamurai your application will be rejected. You may find it helpful to discuss your application with the Class Lead for your chosen class - a list of Class Leads and Officers can be found on the forums in the CTSamurai Announcements section of the forum [link].

Getting recruited in-game:

Once your application has been accepted getting a Guild Officer to invite you is simple - log in to the game, do a "/who ctsamurai" and ask one of our Guild Members to point you in the direction of one of the Officers. The Guild Officer will then check to make sure your application has been accepted before inviting you to the Guild.

Getting ready for raiding:

Once you've been invited to the Guild you'll need access to the Raid Planner so you can sign up to raids. At the top of the Tactical Command section of the forum you'll see a post entitled DKP2 Raid Planner. This will explain how to create an account on the DKP site and have your characters assigned to it. If you don't have access to the Tactical Command section of the forum after being invited to the Guild contact your Class Lead for assistance.

Once your characters have been added to the Raid Planner you can start signing up to raids. If you've not done so already you should read the post entitled A Brief Guide to Ranks and Raiding in the Join CTSamurai section of the forum. This will explain the basics of the rank system, the Raid Planner and the DKP system and how they will affect you. You will be expected to know and understand the information in that post before signing up to your first raid, so please ensure that you read it thoroughly.
