Re: The Edge of Darkness

"I'm not sure, I can't really remember what it's about. My father will know though..."

(I think whether the book is useful or not is something Duncan has to decide?)

Re: The Edge of Darkness

"I'll go to the library as well tomorrow to find out a bit more on this Nopru-ka. I'll see if I can find anything on that latin book as well. However, I must run a little errand for my father first tomorrow. I'll join you later in the afternoon, if that's all right?"

Re: The Edge of Darkness

As Henry Campbell doesn't know about the box yet, Arthur explains what he has found out. He sips from his glass and then continues... "...I think we should research this further. Who was this Nopru-Ka? And more importantly, what was the purpose of the piece of unpolished amber with that insect ...

Re: The Edge of Darkness

Upon arrival at the book shop, Arthur leads the two men to the apartment. They find his father sitting at the kitchen table with a book in his hands. Arthur introduces the two men and explains the situation. "...so I've suggested we meet here after everyone's finished with his task. You don't m...

Re: The Edge of Darkness

(Shouldn't we be going to the book shop though? ;p)

Arthur joins Mr. Jennings and Mr. Campbell when they leave the library to meet the others. He's feeling excited about all that's happened in the past few hours. It's like he's in one of those mystery novels he likes to read so much.

Re: The Edge of Darkness

When Arthur turned to page 374 of L'Art Egyptien he immediately recognised a picture of the box he has in front of him. "Mr. Jennings, I think I found something. Yes, look! It's most definitely the box we have in front of us. Apparently it belonged to a certain Nopru-Ka and it was said to conta...

Re: The Edge of Darkness

After browsing through the Egyptology section for a bit, Arthur found 4 books which might be useful. Two of them are French, but he's quite convinced he'll be able to make sense out of it. - A History of Egypt from the Earliest Times to the Persian Conquest by James Henry Breasted - Hieroglyphic-Dem...

Re: The Edge of Darkness

Arthur finds himself in the Egyptology section of the library without a clue as to where to start his search. He decides to see if he can find some books related to Egyptian artifacts or possibly even the meaning of hieroglyphs. (Should I decide on my own which books Arthur will find? Or is there a ...

Re: The Edge of Darkness

Since everyone already left, preoccupied with their own 'mission', Arthur found himself left behind at the hospital. Since the university library wasn't that far away he decided to walk over there. The empty decorated box in his hands, he first went to the librarian, Miss White. He knew she had some...

Re: The Edge of Darkness

Arthur was lost in his own thoughts for a moment, not really paying attention to his surroundings, when all of a sudden he realises Mr. Jennings is asking him a question. "Apologies, for a brief moment I was somewhere else completely. I wouldn't say I'm that big an expert on Egypt and hieroglyp...

Re: The Edge of Darkness

"I don't think we should tell his family. Mr. Merriweather clearly doesn't want them involved. We should respect that, shouldn't we? Maybe the journal can tell us something."

Arthur reaches out for the journal and opens it.
